Selling an Agency

Is it even worth trying to sell an agency any more?

Obviously at the end of the day it’s down to the individual, but in most cases I just don’t see it. Particularly if you’re generating decent free cashflow and growing nicely (say 20-30% pa).

At 3-4x I think it’d be better to hold onto it somehow. If you’ve got something nudging that multiple up (scale, IP, own a niche etc) then yeh it might be worthwhile. But for most small-mid agencies… probably not.
